Script by Christine Watkins
Music composed by Sianed Jones and Mary Keith
Premiered at The Courtyard Centre for the Arts, Hereford on May 15th 2009.
The performance explores how biomedical explanations about midlife changes sit alongside family stories (old and new) and bodily sensations. The evocative text and musical score tease out the relationship between our experiences of midlife and the various bodies of knowledge that can be applied to this time.

Audience responses on the night
"The music managed to make the pituitary gland sound tuneful and work effectively as a lyric!"
“There were lots of familiarities for me and poetically put. I loved it. Lots of things to identify with but there was a lightness with it that was really good.”
“I don’t think I’ve ever been to a science-themed piece of theatre before. I thought tonight was very entertaining and I didn’t think I was being lectured to”
“There was strong resonance for me. It was positive and I think it’s wonderful to do something on women’s experiences. It feels really different, really unusual. Certainly didn’t want it to end”
“I thought it was really good, haven’t seen anything like it before. I thought the singing was fantastic - great evening of theatre. “
